The First Underground Railway

Step back in time and discover what it was like to travel on the world’s first Underground Railway through an interactive storytelling session designed for children aged 5 and above and their families. This 30-minute experience runs on Mondays throughout late July and August.

Below the Surface

Explore creative ways to solve the challenge of transporting passengers to deep-level tube platforms by designing your own inventions. This fun, drop-in activity welcomes families with children aged 5 and up every Tuesday during the summer holidays.

The Best Underground Line

Imagine what it would have been like when London Underground lines competed for customers a century ago. Create your own fun poster celebrating your favourite line in this drop-in session suitable for all ages on Wednesdays throughout July and August.

Coding the Capital

Discover the technology behind the Victoria Line’s coded signals and try cracking codes yourself in this interactive drop-in session. Perfect for families with children aged 3 and over, this event takes place every Thursday during the school holidays.

Trains Birthday Party!

Celebrate railways in London with a lively birthday party for trains! Designed for young children aged 0-5 and their families, enjoy games and activities that showcase the many ways to travel by train. Sessions last 30 minutes and run on Fridays in summer.

Make a Pop-up Railway

Join a pop-up model-making activity inspired by London’s first railway. Suitable for all ages, this drop-in session offers a creative opportunity to build and explore railway models every Saturday through the holidays.
