SENsory Astronights is a special overnight event designed for families with children who benefit from a more relaxed and calm environment. Taking place on Saturday 2 August, this unique sleepover offers all the excitement of our regular Astronights, but in a more free-flowing atmosphere, with reduced noise and smaller crowds. After the museum closes to the public, families are invited to explore the galleries at their own pace, enjoy engaging workshops and an exciting science show, and then settle down to sleep in one of the museum’s awe-inspiring galleries. The following morning, a delicious breakfast will be provided, followed by more fun activities—these could include a film in our IMAX cinema or a visit to our interactive Wonderlab. Quiet spaces will be available throughout the event for those who need a break, and each SENsory Astronights experience is different, with full details sent to participants in advance. It’s a night like no other, designed to be supportive, welcoming, and full of wonder.
