Next dates
Discover the fascinating world of urban beavers this half term with a special family-friendly guided walk at the Ealing Beaver Project in Greenford.
Half-Term: Free Family Ealing Beaver Project Guided Walk
- Date: Thursday 4th June 2026
- Time: 1pm - 2:30pm
- Location: Ealing Beaver Project Meeting Point, Paradise Fields, Greenford
- Price: Free
Hosted by Ealing Wildlife Group, this guided walk is specially designed for families with children and offers a unique chance to explore the Ealing Beaver Project site while learning all about the resident beaver family released in October 2023.
During the walk, families will discover:
- The aims of the Ealing Beaver Project
- How beavers are transforming the landscape
- Signs of feeding activity and dam building
- The positive impact on biodiversity and local wildlife
- The role of beavers as “ecosystem engineers”
Children can also enjoy a creative nature activity, creating wildlife etchings inspired by the species found around the site.
While it is unlikely visitors will see the beavers themselves, there will be plenty of evidence of their activity throughout Paradise Fields.
Organisers ask all visitors to behave respectfully around the wildlife and habitat, as beavers are sensitive to disturbance and loud noise.
These public sessions have been made possible thanks to funding from Heathrow Communities Trust.
