Gods Own Junkyard
Hidden in an unlikely East London setting, God's Own Junkyard is a dazzling celebration of neon art and creativity. Founded by the late neon artist and collector Chris Bracey, this wonderfully quirky space brings together a lifetime’s passion for all things bright, bold and brilliantly illuminated.
Inside, you’ll find salvaged neon signs from movie sets, vintage Soho displays, retro fairground pieces and one-of-a-kind artworks - many created by repurposing found objects into glowing masterpieces. Every corner bursts with colour, from iconic slogans and hearts to religious iconography and playful pop-art creations.
It part art gallery, part fairground, part neon wonderland.
For families, it’s a feast for the senses. The vibrant colours, larger-than-life signs and circus-style lighting create a magical, carnivalesque atmosphere that children absolutely love. It’s also a brilliant spot for older kids and teens who appreciate something a little different from the usual museum experience.
Expect bold visuals, brilliant photo and shopping opportunities and a truly unique slice of London creativity - all hidden behind an unassuming warehouse door. If you’re looking for something off the beaten track that still delivers serious wow-factor, this glowing gem is well worth the trip.
