Next dates

    1. 10:15 - 16:15

This hands-on workshop invites young people aged 11–14 to develop observational drawing techniques while sketching around the museum, focusing on the architecture, objects, and visitors.
Participants will explore a range of illustrated zines and books, learning how composition and layout contribute to storytelling and thematic development. The session includes an introduction to different paper-folding techniques for creating concertina books or poster-zines. Using these ideas, each participant will design and make a zine using drawing and collage, and present it to the group.

Learning outcomes include:

  • Observational drawing techniques
  • Technical skills using mixed media on paper
  • Fundamentals of zine-making
  • Visual storytelling and communication
  • Presenting finished work

Additional information:

This workshop is designed for ages 11–14. All participants must be dropped off and collected by an adult. Capacity is limited; early booking is recommended. Equipment, materials, and light refreshments will be provided. A packed lunch should be brought for the day.
