Roar, splash, and stomp into our animal-themed Little Feet session celebrating the exhibition Ancient India: Living Traditions. Designed for families with children under five, this free, fun-filled, drop-in event invites little explorers to discover the origins of Hinduism, Buddhism, and Jainism through nature spirits of ancient India. Meet the elephant-headed god Ganesha, roar with the lion-faced spirit Simhamukha in the Little Feet forest, and dive into the swirling fabric ocean to spot mythical creatures like the makara and Matsya, Vishnu’s fish form. Journey into a rumbling storm to meet Dharanendra, the protective serpent. Get creative with paper crafts to make a floral headdress inspired by these nature spirits, or sculpt soft clay into a lotus flower or animal. With plenty to see, touch, make, and do, this multi-sensory session sparks imagination and creativity.
Led by our friendly team, Little Feet offers a welcoming space to explore, play, and enjoy themed activities together. No booking required. This event is part of the public programme supporting Ancient India: Living Traditions (open until 19 October 2025).
