As part of the London Literature Festival, Alphabet Soup runs from 25–30 October 2025 at the Southbank Centre’s Clore Ballroom, offering free, drop-in family workshops and activities. 

Designed for ages 5–11 (though all are welcome), the event invites children and families to help create an evolving art installation by cooking up playful poems and stories inspired by the language of food. 

Led by artist Anna Bruder and poet Arji Manuelpillai of A Line Art, the sessions mix creativity, imagination, and humour, encouraging participants to dream up new foods, discover surprising words, and craft a literary feast together.
