Join in for a special day of free, family-friendly activities inspired by the exhibition Ancient India: Living Traditions. Colourful, sensory, and atmospheric, the exhibition explores the sacred origins of Hinduism, Buddhism, and Jainism, rooted in the nature spirits of ancient Indian forests. Families can get hands-on with creative workshops and object handling throughout the day. Explore the centuries-old craft of Indian woodblock printing with artist and printmaker Neera Sehgal, and paint your own vibrant section of an ancient Indian forest with artist Raman Uppal. Plus, get up close to fascinating artefacts with the British Museum’s volunteer team, who will guide you through a unique object handling session. A perfect day for curious minds and creative hands!
